Did you tell the vet about him throwing up water? do you have any saline rinse people that have contacts usually have some or you can make some to gently wash his eye out or make a compress with warm water and a wash cloth.
You can get some sterile saline eye wash at your drug store or eye meds aisle at most Walmarts, Meyers. To make homemade saline you take 16 ounces of water and add 1 tsp of table salt. Bring it to a boil in a sauce pan, lower to a simmer for 15 minutes. Then cool it and place it in a very clean jar and cover it. Terramycin eye ointment is also good to put into the eye 2-3 times a day.

If it's the meds causing him to throw up it may just take getting it out of his system if he keeps it up into tomorrow I would call the vet back.

I don't give my poultry water overnight so if your in the evening just take the water up.
