strange duckling

OK so I have been out all day with my little ducklings. Well I saw what I though was odd behavior from a duck. Now this is a runner I hatched, it is a month or more old. Well it came yo me hoping. Not on one foot but both at the same time. Kinda like it was just jumping, but it did it for a few feet. Is this Normal? I picked it up and didn't feel anything wrong. And when I put it down it ran. I have never seen the jumping out of any of them.

Zehn used to sneak up behind me, and when I turned around, she would hop and then turn around and run away a few feet. She may be trying to play with you.

My 3 ducks jump I put mealworms on a netting over their pool they jump to knock the worms through the netting and into the pool I found it odd but it's funny to watch

Instead of walking to me, it jumped. Like a foot or 2.

I was out taking care of the ducks and geese today and as I was crouched down, a couple of K Campbell females were coming up behind me and playing, pulling on my pant legs. Okay...this is new. When I turned my head to look they would run away quaking, not in alarm but that silly one that sounds almost like laughter. As soon as I turned back to what I was doing, right back they'd come and I'd feel those light little nibbles and pulls. I also had a Appleyard drake come and lie down on my foot, lol. Who knows! I think Amiga has it right and they are playing, which is great! They've finally figured out I'm not a 'monska' going to eat them up, lol.
