Strange egg??

ideas on what causes this. The center part is quite thin. Just picked this chicken up yesterday so wasnt sure if stress could cause it.

Think its a adnormality in producing calcium to form the shell prob just a 1 off or u could increase her calcium intake if it happens again x

And just a thort has she only just started laying mine have just started recently and their first one's was shelless eggs 1 or 2 then they laid normal xx

How is the hen behaving? Any signs of illness or trouble breathing? Wrinkling on an egg shell can indicate an infectious disease, but most of the time, it's cause by stress, and the egg is usually an isolated event.

She acta fine ...again we just got her yesterday and she had. 3.5 hr truck ride home. I'm chalking it up to stress but I'll keep an eye out. I've seen no outward signs to think she has an illness.

Yeah, that shell was forming on the ride home......bet you don't see another one.
You may not see another egg out of her period until she settles in to her new place.
