The shell is hard. Looks like it is shell-less. What happened?

Looks like a soft shelled egg. They are soft coming out and sometimes harden up but are still more brittle then normal. Usually means they need more calcium.
I had an egg that looked like that... even more wrinkly. I researched it and it said one of the chickens could have a bronchial infection... it’s still ok to eat tho... lasted about 2 months and now all my eggs are normal... you can also research wrinkly shell and things will come up.. I don’t think it’s anything to worry about thou... all my chickens are still healthy
Thanks. There are oyster shells in each coop. I also give them egg shells whenever I make boiled eggs.Looks like a soft shelled egg. They are soft coming out and sometimes harden up but are still more brittle then normal. Usually means they need more calcium.
If the shell is hard, how can it be shell-less <scratcheshead>The shell is hard. Looks like it is shell-less. What happened?
You can even crush up their eggs shells and feed it back to them to help with calcium to.Thanks. There are oyster shells in each coop. I also give them egg shells whenever I make boiled eggs.

That is what is called a 'slab sided' egg.
Could be a one time glitch, or a malfunctioning shell gland, or a disease.
