strange egg

I am thinking that the bird who layed this egg stopped laying for a while now and is laying again. She is a red hen mind you, but egg looks pale in color. It is quite large with a obviously weak shell. Any thoughts on this strange looking egg would be welcome.

If you say she hasn't been laying for a while maybe her reproductive system is getting back to work.

Sometimes a strange egg just happens. I have had eggs with no shells and odd shaped eggs, but it only happens once in a while.
