I performed a necropsy myself on a chick whom was very oddly malpositioned and twisted in so wrong in its shell with its legs each wrapping around the towards its back (the splits) in what i believe would be so painful . The wierd part of it, is that I saw many tiny nodules on him. Each feather had a little ball the same black color as his feathers, growing on it, close to the base, 1/4 up way from the follicle on the wings and neck area. I have seen alot when it comes to the avian species, but never have I seen this. Any ideas what could have caused this? Disease, genetics, mutation? Poor thing, I hope I dont have to see this again in any more of the babies.
