A blockage in the crop, or impacted crop can be a stubborn thing to cure.

Something in the throat would be obvious by feeling, or looking inside.

His crop is puffy and soft. I will add the coconut oil idea. I do not have grit available. I guess I can get some but I don’t really need a whole bag. Thank you for replying.

Make sure to massage in a circular motion after the coconut oil chunks are fed. Push the stuff(not hard) in the crop towards the body, the tube that leads to a part of the digestive tract will be located there.
