Strange illness in my silkie hen and roo.

I have 4 silkie hens and one silkie roo. One of my hens and my roo both became sick at the same time with the same symptoms. But my other hens are perfectly fine. I took them to the vet and had blood tests done. They found signs of a possible viral or fungal infection. They gave my two weeks worth of meds. In the first week they made improvements. By the second round my roo took a turn for the worst. He's still hanging on but I don't know for how long. My hen got better but she has very poor balance still. She's walking a little weird and trips and falls easily. She isn't showing signs of pain and seems perfectly happy. She is scratching around, jumping on things, comes running when I have treats and even picks fights with one of the other hens that she has never liked. My roo has the same problem with his balance and walk, too. But he also still has other symptoms and isn't active at all. The vet just doesn't know too much about chickens and I have yet to find one that does. What could be going on? Will my hen get better? Could it be from a stroke? I'm so lost and I just want to get them better. Please help! Also, they are both about 2 1/2 years old. I don't know if they ever had vaccines, and they tested negative for worms/parasites.

What symptoms did they have when you took them to the vet? Did they have any signs of a respiratory infection, or any diarrhea? Have you noticed any mold or funny odors in your chicken feed, or have you seen mold in the coop area? Do you have any plants in their yard that could be poisonous? Has the vet tested their droppings for coccidiosis or worms? Dehydration can be a cause of imbalance, so I would make sure that they are drinking and eating well. Electrolytes and vitamins in their water, and a bit of plain yogurt for probiotics might help.

Their symptoms started with them being inactive and sleeping a lot. My roo completely stopped crowing. They weren't eating and lost a lot of weight. There wasn't any signs of respiratory infection, and no diarrhea. They just slept all the time and were very off balanced when they walked. They had stool test done and those came back normal. No poisonous plants in the yard and I keep their coop very clean and their pen is also very clean and has a roof over it so that stays pretty dry as well. I have been giving them vitamin/electrolyte water. They are both back to eating and drinking their normal amount and gaining weight back. My hen is totally back to normal except for her balance. My roo is still in bad shape and I have him in a large cage in my house. He is eating and drinking just fine, and his poop's look normal and healthy. But he is very quiet, only wakes up to eat and drink, and his balance is really off and he is having trouble moving around. When he does he falls a lot. Neither of them seem to be in any pain from this, though. It's just a complete mystery to me. I really want to know what is going on but I'm at a complete loss, not even the vet can tell me at this point. Even if there's nothing more I can do to help them I at least want to know what is wrong with them and why its affected their balance so much.
