What's happened? The yellow chick should look like the grey one it's next too. The parents of both chicks are Mille Fleur d'uccle's. The rooster and hen are both full mille fleur (not show quality). We've had other chicks from the same parents and none have been solid yellow. The chicks feathers are coming in solid white completely different than any other mille fleur chick we've hatched. We only have the one rooster, in a inclosed pen so no other roo could have got to the hen. The chick in question has zero markings. Is there such a thing as an albino chicken? Will get better pics if need be.

For some reason the pictures are not showing up. Yes, chickens can be albino but it is VERY rare. Does you chick have red eyes and a whit(ish) beak? More likely is a ''sport'' possibly caused be some white genetics a few generations back, that's finally popping up.

Welcome! I'm betting that your yellow chick is a porcelain, a color that's recessive to millie fleur, and will pop up if it's back in the genetics of your flock. Cute, if so. Mary I've tried twice to add a photo, but failed. Sorry
