Strange muddy looking poop and worm (?) things in their poop, do our chickens have worms and if so what should be done about it? [Pictures attached]

These last few times we have cleaned our chickens coop we noticed that their poop looked like messy piles of mud and there were BUGS in it! I was hoping they were maggots and after the last cleaning I put some fly repellent in their coop (that was last week) but there are still flies everywhere and still more bugs in their poop. It also hasn't changed from the muddy texture. The container said to reapply every 2 weeks and/or after every cleaning. Maybe it's just a terrible product? But I dont think I have noticed any of this strange poop outside of the coop it seems normal. I haven't tried adding acv yet I have meant to but I haven't. I usually just put it in their buckets of water occasionally when I clean and refill all of them. Not sure if these bugs are worms or maggots or aliens. We have never dewormed our flock our had their poop tested and we have had them for a little over a year now. Any idea as to what is causing this strange poop, bug infestation, and how to treat it? I forgot to mention that we used to be using pine shavings for their bedding but then cha gedbit to shredded paper and cardboard last month. Could the change have invited these bugs to live here? We are going to be switching back to pine shavings.

So are the chickens pooping maggots or are the maggots hatching in the poop?
Likely the maggots are hatching out of the poop where flies have laid their eggs.
Cleaning up excess poop can help with this.

It is a good idea to inspect all your birds just to make sure no one has any wounds that are infested with maggots just to be sure.
