Strange noise from hen

I have an approximately 5 month old hen who is making strange noises. She was on medicated chick food until about a month ago. She has started to lay. No problems eating, eyes are clear. None of the other chickens purchased at the same time in this flock are exhibiting this behavior. She makes a strange noise, not all the time ... sounds almost as if someone is strangling her, then when she inhales after making this noise, you can hear a slight wet gurgle. Any thoughts? She goes in the henhouse at night, is out in a large spacious yard from dawn to dusk ... plenty of fresh water and grain daily.
