Strange object inside egg

I expect it is the chicken version of a miscarriage. People often abort malformed or genetically insufficient embryos. Hopefully, she is ok. The alien theory is interesting.

Anyone know what this is! Cracked open an egg to find blood all in the white & this fig shaped object??!! Thought it looked like it could have been forming a chick but all our chickens are Hens

It appears to be one of the most impressive meat spots I've ever seen---usually they're small flecks or spots. Pieces of ovarian tissue can slough off during egg formation. I'm not aware of anything you could do for the hen in question....if you know who it was, you can try to monitor her laying and condition for the next few days, but if something is wrong with her, I'm not aware of anything to fix it except culling.
