I have a 2 year old Pekin hen who is acting very strangely. When I let her out in the morning she goes straight to a spot under a bush and stays there all day until it is time to roost again. It is as if she is broody but she has no eggs. She recently lost both her rooster and sister and I put her with another little flock of 6 pekins, and there seemed to be harmony. Could she be missing her ex partner and sister, or could she have a "false pregnancy"? Does that happen with chickens?

Yep. Pekin chickens are a breed of Bantam chickens!

they have feathery feet. I'd post a pic if I knew how!
