One of my chicks did this….
Then later in the day my rooster did the same with a little green solid matter in it.
What is this?? Should I be concerned?

The chick is on starter and the rooster is free range with all flock and meal worms given throughout the day. The rooster keeps getting into my dry cat food so I am on alert. It just looks so mucousy to me…

Completely normal. I’m a worried mom :)
I am, too! Haha!

I really do think it's fine. These look like when my birds get into really wet grass. And maybe the chick had a lot to drink.

Since you're a worried mom, I know you're going to be watching them closely, anyway. See if their poop returns to something more "normal." I bet it does.
