Strange Question: At what age do chicken stop getting the zoomies?

So, I’ve got chicks (the little peeps), and naturally, they get the zoomies—playing leap frog and darting around like maniacs without warning.

Then there are my Rhode Island Reds, about 2.5 months old, have lived outside the majority of their lives. They get the zoomies constantly—I mean, it’s non-stop chaos! I actually have to coax them to settle down just so they remember to eat. They definitely haven’t mastered the art of grazing yet. It’s more like: inhale the food, then off to the races again!

And dont get me started about getting underfoot from far distances and making my hubby and I almost take a tumble , rounding through our legs like agility show dogs begging for cuddles.

So when would you say the zoomies subside?

Probably varies by individuals but they'll slow down as they get bigger and closer to point of lay and stop completely somewhere around 9-12 months old (yes I actually thought about it because my most recent chicks were still zoom bombarding each other at close to a year old).
