I have 2 silkies that are 10 months old. One of them is setting on a clutch of (Delaware) eggs right now. The other... well... I'm not 100% if it's a pullet or a cockerel. I think it's a hen, but it has never crowed, or laid and egg. I think it thinks it's still a chick. It follows the other one around and tries to put it's head under her wing. Right now, it's trying to sit on the nest with her. I finally had to put it out of the coop so it could eat and drink.

Should I separate it from it's 'mommy'? What could cause 'chick' behavior? Will it ever grow out of it? Silly little chicken. [IMG]
