Hi!
Was wondering if anyone else has experienced this. Our hens have been laying for 11 months and yesterday one laid a very large egg, about 3 times the normal size. It had a yolk and a thing that looked like a yolk size tumor, the white of the egg was normal. Our hens have not had a rooster with them in 10 months, so there is no way it could have been fertile. Unfortunately my husband tossed it before I could get a picture of it. Can a hen pass an ovarian cyst in an egg? Our hens are free range, and we give them every imaginable scrap/leftover we have, can too much fat intake cause this? Help!
