Strange Turkey Behaviour!

wow, they fly that high at such a young age? Ok, that does it, they don't come out of the solid box for another couple weeks and then they have to stay in the summer brooder(has a lid)...maybe forever! LOL

Yup, they DO fly well...early. After loseing one...I couldnt take a chance to lose another. So, they are topped!​

gee, and I want to be able to let them free range with the chickens when they are older

Oh, you can free range them...but no guarantees they will go back to the coop to roost at night. They like TREES, and the top of the house!

Dont walk under them!

We have seven old( like 100 years or close) in our side yard. I am not in a hurry to turn them loose but I won't be able to keep them cooped up...not when they see all the flock of chickens ranging in the yard eating fresh grass, worms and bugs.
