Our 2 chicks are about 3 weeks old, and have been doing well. I was putting some sugar in their water as a "boost"and didn't do that today. Just water with vitamins. Also introduced a cup of grit in the brooder today, as they are eating worms and will probably get some veggies tomorrow (they don't go outside very often at all right now).
One of the chicks has been acting a little...off all day today. (s)he's been sleeping a ton and just earlier was wandering around chirping. We thought it was because she couldn't join the other chick on top of the brooder box, but when she was placed there (strange she would let us - friendly but not a fan of being picked up) and then jumped on my arm and climbed up me. She is moving the area right under her mouth quite a bit and her mouth hangs a little bit open, which is also new.
Any thoughts? Only been putting sugar in the water a couple days now...
