Strangest and Silliest Chicken Names?

We have 4 chickens and they all have multiple names...

Fluffy Bottom, our little flock leader/alpha Red Star is also known as Little Red, Miss Curiosity and of course, affectionately, Fluffy.
Our Easter Egger's name is Cat Wizard (Don't ask, I don't know, someone else named her) she is also Miss Rude
Our Plymouth Rock Barred is officially Carlilse....she's a sweety
and my little sicky right now who's on the mend, my little love, a black star named Bubs

Now....also all of them have Chicken names.....they are also known respectively as Popeyes, Stove Top, Over Stuffer Roaster, and Col. Sanders.

Those are my girls and I love them!

Well I have a game rooster named "Sugar", a bantam cochin rooster named "Franny" (think 'The Nanny'), another bantam cochin rooster named "Froggy", and a Serama named "Little Big Mouth". I'm sure there are others with weird names but these are the ones that come to mind first

A pair of Polish hens who were quite silly, but somehow made to eight years old. Whichaway and Wrongway for their tendency to run into things, including once running into a oak tree she couldn't see. And knocking herself out.

I have a BO named Benazir Bhutto because she was the most assertive chick in the group. Now, not so much. Reverse psychology? However, Sookie (Stackhouse), is quite the firecracker.

OMG! You should call her Figgy for short!!!! SO CUTE!!!! My step-son wanted to name a hen "Mumford", a name of a musical group, Mumford and sons. All boys I believe. I hated the name at first but our Barred Rock is the biggest , fluffiest butt, silliest bird ever. She is clumsy and adorable and Mumford, aka Mummers, is the best chicken!

I named all 9 of my chicks after ice cream flavors. There's Expresso Chip (aka Chip), Orange Creme (aka Wobbles cuz he doesn't walk right), Birthday Cake (BC), Mint Choco Chip (aka Minty), Coco, Vanilla Bean (aka Bean), Banana Split (aka Split cuz of a scar on the back of his head), Mocha, and Sundae. Sundae is a white-crested blue polish frizzle, and the crest reminded me of whipped cream.

Well, our three Black Stars are collectively known as "The Three Stooges" or "MacBeth's Witches" from time to time. They are Big Bird, Bird On Hand, and Scruffy. The BR ladies are named Lolita and Clementine. Big Bird got her name because as a chick she grew faster than her sisters and was clearly the largest as a chick; Bird On Hand was named because of her insistence on climbing onto my husband's hand, later his wrist, to go for rides; while the other two were shaped more like blocky RIRs, Scruffy had a more triangular Rock shape, feathered a little later, and looked kind of gawky compared to her "sisters." Lolita received her name because as she entered young pullet hood she would take a single peck at my husband's hand and then assume the poultry reproductive postion so fast she made a thump going down - it seems she pulled her legs up and just let her body fall. Given her youth, she was named after the Nabokov novel. Clementine was named for the song "Oh My Darling Clementine" since it was pretty clear she was a miner's daughter with her inclination to dig dust baths that reached half way down to China.

Oh my gosh, I thought I was the only person alive who knew about Zardoz or Krull! I have Zardoz on DVD and threaten to make my friends watch it when I'm mad at them.

Both those movies are seriously awesome! I just had to say...

Anyways, I named one of my Sussex hens Nadia Comaneci because of her balance beam work despite being wrapped for the occasional case of bumble foot. Plus, her floor routine really rocks!
