Just make sure to tell her you need one that lets you choose any time of day not one that only lets you choose dusk to dawnThat's a great idea. Thanks
Gives the wife another excuse to hit the 'Clearance' aisle.....

You have a great variety going. My current flock is doing the top 2 of your middle row then your lightest blue and green eggs. Next fall though I will hopefully have added white, cream, and some darker browns! 2026 will hopefully add in some olive eggersToday’s egg haul so far. Things are shaping up. I think I have all of the shapes today. A couple giant double yolkers by the looks of it.

Those lightest blue and green eggs are from my original olive eggers. I bought 4 day old chicks from Rual King 3 lay light blue/green 1 lays tan. The one olive green egg in that picture is from the daughter of one of the light green eggs and my BCM rooster. My white egg layer is an EE. Don’t sell yourself short buddy I’ve seen pictures of your eggs you have chocolate, dark chocolate, milk chocolate, and a whole range of tan. And some really nice speckles tooWow, those are lovely.
I have brown and then I have brown, an occasional green, more brown, an occasional white and then a ton more brown.![]()
Thanks...I'm not overly concerned at the moment, I've hooked up with an egg buyer for a restaurant now and he's wanting every egg I can produce so I'm sure he's not concerned about color variety.Don’t sell yourself short buddy I’ve seen pictures of your eggs you have chocolate, dark chocolate, milk chocolate, and a whole range of tan. Wow you have buyers for your cull birds and now eggs as well. Sounds like you’re really getting things set up good. Are you selling the duck eggs too or just chicken?Thanks...I'm not overly concerned at the moment, I've hooked up with an egg buyer for a restaurant now and he's wanting every egg I can produce so I'm sure he's not concerned about color variety.
But I do want some blues and olives this year for my own enjoyment to the eyes.
On the plus side, I'm also overloaded with egg cartons from him now.... He bought 3 dozen and gave me 14 cartons his first buy and this last time picked up 6 dozen and brought me 23 cartons.
So this is just one more reason to get the lights on earlier, also.
I'm just giving them to this buyer but matter of fact he mentioned them right off the first time he came. I've only got the one that lays regularly and the other is sporadic at best.Wow you have buyers for your cull birds and now eggs as well. Sounds like you’re really getting things set up good. I know a lot of people say duck eggs are better for baking so I figured a restaurant might want to snatch them up. I had the opportunity to get several ducklings from a friend who incubated a clutch only to find out that two of his duck hens were hiding on nests. I would have liked to but there is a pond directly across the highway from my house so I was afraid they would get killed on the road trying to get to that pond. Even if I built them a pool it wouldn’t be enough to satisfy them.I'm just giving them to this buyer but matter of fact he mentioned them right off the first time he came. But I'm not adding any more ducks to sell eggs. When the Sissy's have passed I won't have ducks anymore. We enjoy them but their a mess with water and dealing with the pools.
We're still debating on what to do if just one passes, probably re-home the remaining hopefully.
One of those situations you don't want to think about til it happens.
But yes, I've been very fortunate this year with selling. Hopefully it continues.
