"C'mon, Maiya, let's go get these babies some more prey. Leave the fawning to Echo," Mira said, while Echo washed each of the kittens.
"You mean kill things? That's revolting, Mira!"
"Yes, I mean kill things. Like so," Mira replied, beginning to creep up a fence to surprise a sleeping crow. Mira dropped her newest catch down to Maiya. "If you aren't going to catch anything, at least bring that over to the kittens," Mira called down to Maiya.

 

[Perfect Polish]

Red cleaned her paws and wiped her face after eating her fill. " Now my belly's full all i need is a nice nap" she said with a purr.

"Me too," Charcoal said, licking her jaws to get the last bits of squirrel. "I've never been outside before. Where do you sleep outside?"

"Oh, that's something I can help with," Maiya said. "Follow me." She led the kittens into the yard of a large house, and into a soft, grassy spot under some honeysuckle tendrils. "Isn't it romantic?"

Sage licked his paws. He looked up into a large tree that had many birds.

Just then, Echo jumped up into the tree Sage had spotted and caught a fat pigeon. All the birds in the tree scattered.

Sage smiled. He watched all the birds fly away.

Echo climbed down the tree with the bird in her jaws. She saw sage looking at the startled birds. "Hello," she meowed. "I didn't steal your catch, did I?"

"Nope, I was just watching them," he stated.

"Oh, okay then, I'll leave you to that," Echo said, and started walking back to where the kittens were.

Sage laid down in the green grass.
