Whiskers hunted, she glanced upon a mouse, she leaped and the mouse got away. She sprinted after it and after running for a mile finally caught it.

Maiya growled at Whiskers. "Hey, that was my mouse!" she hissed.

Alice then saw the mouse, she snatched it away and gobbled it up.

Sandstorm wandered through a patch of woods, alert, watching for any sign of movement.

Maiya, who was in a grumpy mood, nearly lashed out at Alice. "What's wrong with you? Can't you catch your own food? Or do you live by stealing other cats' prey?" Maiya wasn't feeling very good. She really missed the little girl, but when she had gone to go visit the house, the humans' new puppy had chased her away.

Echo wandered aimlessly through the woods, trying to clear her mind. She accidentally scared Sandstorm's prey away.
