~Stray Cat RP~

Mira heard the door of the house open. She rushed down from the window sill, only to see that the door had been closed again. The big female human was with the little girl, and Mira knew something was wrong... then she saw it: a small bundle of fur with a short tail and two flappy ears.
Maiya twitched her ears when she heard the door open. She got to her feet, elegantly arched her back, and padded over to where the little girl and the mistress of the house were getting in. She purred, rubbing her head against the little girl's legs. Then, the little girl put down another animal - it was a puppy! Maiya meowed a welcome stroked her tail over the puppy's back. "Look, Mira, we have a new family member!" Maiya purred, rushing off to find her sister. Before she could find Mira, however, the little girl's father picked her up roughly and shoved her into a crate where Mira was angrily hissing. Then, the crate was loaded onto the car and taken to a small alley... and then dumped.
 
Echo heard a lot of commotion in the alley where she had been dumped a year ago. She cautiously creeped in, to see... could it be? Her two kittens... she hadn't seen them in so long... Echo bounded over.
Maiya shrieked. It was one of those awful wild cats that lived in the alleys and smelled of trash! However, this cat looked so much like Mira... and it looked so familiar...
"Mother!" Mira cried. "It has to be you! The human dumped us like they dumped you!"
"Mother?" Maiya gasped. She hadn't known her mother was wild! She thought she had been taken to another family!
"Mira! Maiya!" Echo purred. "I haven't seen you in so long, you have no idea how much I missed you-"
"Could you get us out of here?" Mira said, hissing at the metal cage.
Echo fiddled with the catch on the cage, and the door opened. "Okay, now what?"
 
Maiya licked a paw delicately, and looked around in disgust. "I'm hungry, and tired," she said. "How about we wait here for the human, I'm sure the little girl will come-"
Mira hissed. "Forget it, Maiya. We're dumped. Let's just catch a blackbird or something and find somewhere to sleep."
"Eww, blackbird?" Maiya looked horrified. "That's revolting!"
Just then, Echo came back with two blackbirds. "Here," she said, "eat these. I've eaten already." Mira's eyes lit up and she began to eat quickly. Maiya nibbled on a wing skeptically, and started to eat quickly.
