Our barred rock hens lay a light brown eggs.

I think it has to be Gretel. After her initial burst, we seem to be getting one a day. Lol. I'm stoked & I can't wait to make a custard out of them. Haha

I'd put some fake eggs or golf balls in the nest so you can start keeping the eggs in your fridge. Don't put more than one or two or you might make her go broody and set, though!

Very cool they look larger than a silkie but my one silkie lays a good size egg while the other one keeps em small!
