Stray chicken. She's a beauty! Need opinions.

She is the lone survivor of 3 companions left in the woods next to us. I'm thinking of adopting her. We've been throwing out feed so she is getting used to us. Thinking of calling her Gretel. Here's a few pics.

I need to get better pics of her coloring. She has very pretty copper and black feathers on her neck.

Looks to be a Wheaten Standard Old English Game hen. I know she is a game just not sure of the Wheaten color with her at a distance.

I would take her in too!! Careful though should could be aggressive to other hens.

Could she be a phoenix?? I saw some pics on Google of a phoenix pair and it looks just like her!

It's possible, but I'm thinking game until I can see her closer, I don't know much about Phoenix, but looks like alot of games I've seen. Either way she is beautiful! I wish something like that would come out of my woods. Lol!!

Every time someone says they have a stray or feral hen, I think game bird. That appears to be the case here, although she seems just a little heavy bodied for a game? But I'm pretty sure that's what she is. Great foragers and mommas.

Oh my she is pretty...I would make sure to quarantine her if you do manage to get her...what a beautiful girl..
