Stray chicken. What do I do?, and it’s been SO hot.

Should I be concerned about the proximity? Maybe it’s too late anyway. this is the place she picked.

As the sun starts to set go out and see if you can catch her. She will probably be wary of humans as the only ones she has seen have brought death with them. Put her in a dog crate or prefab chicken coop inside your flock’s run so they can get used to her.

I mean, of course she looks rough, but I just love her. I would take her in in a heartbeat. I think you'll be greatly rewarded if you do. And you must keep us all posted on her progress.

You all convinced me to give her a chance. She’s ugly as sin but isn’t acting sick. I will keep her contained and feed and water her. Seeing the egg laying factory business up close makes me sick. Horrible cruelty.
