Stray Chicken - What is it?

i could be wrong on the bantam assumption. He could just be a young standard. i took a couple more pictures. First one, he is in a 22" tall by 20" wide dog carrier. Second is a close-up. Ah, i am so enjoying hearing his peeping. Haven't had chicks around here for a while. But, will have to find him a good home. We can have roosters here, but my husband's sensitive ears can not.

i just looked up pictures of Columbian Rocks. He looks very similar to that! Now, is that something you find at a feed store? Or would it be a special order. i guess i'm still pondering how he came to be in that woman's yard. Did someone dump him over the fence? And then, why that fence? If you want to get rid of chickens in this area, most folks take them to the famous Fair Oaks Park, home of the free-range chickens (they even have a festival for them every year).

He's healthy and no mites or lice. He was pretty thirsty when i got him home, but not starving. i put an ad on craigslist trying to find his owner. But i don't mind caring for him till i find him a good home. He's such a sweetie.
