stray rabbits

Sommr, tch, you and me both. Guess away because I have no idea if I'm on the right track with the spotted fellow or not. I'm just guessing too.

I'm on the opposite side of the country from you, but next year we might be visiting family on your coast. If so, I'll drop you a line and see if you are wanting anything off our local classifieds at that time, and bring you over some bunnies if you do.

Stone, that's awesome about the rabbits! Best of luck with the remaining two.

Another reason why having chickens is a great thing, neighbor came over and told me the other spotted stray was in her flower bed. She was afraid to grab it so she helped me get it, I thanked her with half a dozen eggs. She was thrilled. Turns out payment with eggs is an awesome thing.

So now all I have to get is the black rabbit. I can't tell if the spotted one is a male or female because it was kicking so much. When DH gets home I'll fish it out of the pen and put it where it belongs.

Looks like you are going to have your very own rabbit manure business soon

They're so cute! my two bunny girls were strays living near my friends cabin, they were babies when I caught them but not small enough that mom still took care of them. They are just the sweetest little girls.

wow, very pretty rabbits.i wish i lived closer.very nice of you to take care of them for awhile.they would have made nice dinners for hawks.

thank you

there is wire on the bottom of the pen, our pet rabbit was never much of a digger until she became a mama. Inside the coop I set up a two story pen that the rabbits can use. Right now though my pet lop and her baby are in the top and our spotted stray Chickie is on the bottom, since I found out she was a female.

Thank you! I will try putting wire under (chicken wire or hardware cloth?). That would be great to have them on the ground. I can easily separate by sex. I have the mother, father and 5 babies that are a year old now.
