Streamers??Help please lol silkie's

Can anyone possibly post pics of streamers in silkies...I am so clueless. Im thinking I have 2 hens(because there is no comb, but a third has a single comb instead of walnut, and the fourth has a nice walnut comb but this is my first exerience with walnut and IM not sure?? I dont think its awful huge, It is a deep purplish color... If anyone can post pics of what?where to find streamers on Silkie roos it may help..Thank you in advance

It would help if you posted pictures of your Silkies from several views please...also how old are they ?

Young roosters can develop streamers early but it takes a while of maturing for them to look alot like defined streamers.

My rooster when he was 3 months:

You can see them in the back of his head.

Again, the really shiny parts...think of saddle feathers on normal feathered roosters. They hang off the back of the rooster and are really thin and shiny. Same concept in Silkie boys, but on their heads.

Now, as an adult, he has more and they are more defined because he has matured.

But I agree, post your own pictures may help.

Sometimes it takes quite a while to make sure the gender is right.
