Well that's good to hear that they have gotten over having their leg bands removed. Chickens don't like change it stresses them out, also they like safe places so if they think one place is safe over another they will stay where they perceive it to be safe ( here the safe place includes their house and run and the dog kennel with the dog hahaha) . Sometimes its only a little change that makes them stress or worry, I've seen them go nutty over a bedding change from straw to sawdust or vice versa, so I wouldn't worry about it, as long as all the other stuff around them is relatively the same and there are the same faces then they should be fine. Chickens also adapt quite fast to new things and environments.
