Stressing Out!!!! I have 6 duck eggs on lockdown lastnite, This morning I checked them and they have rolled around lastnite!!! I realized they would move around but some of them are not positioned with the big end up anymore, 1 is laying longways, 1 is slanted to the right. When I put them in they were perfectly in line!!! I don't want to open the incubator to reposition them but should I do it quickly??? Should I just leave them alone??? Will they be okay how ever they position themselves??? This is my 2nd time incubating in 2 years and I forgot how stressful it is!!!!!

Leave them alone!
Baby may pip and start zipping from the section of the egg facing the roof of the incubator, or the floor now. They will hatch just fine either way. They get knocked around in the nest as well, and mother doesnt realign them.
That's what I was thinking, the mother doesn't make sure every egg is in the perfect position!!!! Hatching is so fun & addicting but also so stressful!!!!

iam just wondering how you got them on their ends
Sorry if my post was confusing. I don't have them on there ends, I just have them laying in the incubator with the big end "up" if that makes sense. When I put them in they were laying down with the big end pointing towards the back of the incubator but now some have rolled around to where the big end is facing the side of the incubator. That's the best way I can describe it.

I get what your saying you laid them in all pretty and now they messed up the look. Well they are getting into position for hatching.
Yes!!!! My OCD kicked in after the last time turning them before lockdown & I had them spaced out evenly but close together & now they messed up my " pretty picture"!!! I guess the ducklings didn't want to be in a " pretty picture" when they started hatching!!!

Best of luck with the hatch. Don't get stressed and keep waiting.
