Stressed out

Is there anyway you could make a pen within the pen so they can see each other yet be safe. Just putting her straight away in with the others Makes her a target. I separate mine at least 10 days minimum.
She has a place behind the coop that the littles go but the other big ones don't so she is safe there and the littles keep her company. The lowest of the big girls keeps her company when she sits on the roosts during the day. My coop is open so not like she is staying inside.
I let the big ones out into the garden Twice a day and give her an hour to move around in the run with the littles. The let the others back in 1 at a time.

Thanks everyone. This is my first adult to introduce and I want to be sure she is ok. She is such a sweet girl and my daughter would not leave her at the chicken swap. She carried her in her arms all afternoon until we got her home and she was very calm and sweet.

I'd nip this in the bud or you may end up with too many birds...
....or birds that bring pests and disease to your flock.
...and this is a typical selling schmooze:
Her owner recently passed away and a neighbor took the small flock to find them homes.

I think you dodged a bullet and got lucky (if bird is healthy),
and you seem to have managed the integration well-kudos there.

Give the bird some time and she may lay yet again this fall. Unless she is older than a year then she may just go ahead and molt first.
