Think our disabled turkey just had a stroke (and died quickly). She had knock knees (we think vargus?). Had her on higher protein food and mineral supplement. Brought her out of her pen to sit in the fresh air in the shade. She sat calmly as the basset/rottweiler puppy ate her food for her (she wasn't alarmed or scared the pup was there). Put the puppy away. About a half hour later, I came back out to finish up coop chores. Just as I got out there, she tried standing up. Went over to help her and her head/neck swung in a full circle and went limp. Immediately put her back in coop to evaluate her and she went stiff dead. Quickest random death we've ever seen.

I'm so sorry to hear that.

Meat turkeys and chickens are prone to heart-attacks. It was likely this is what she suffered, though it could have been a stroke as well.
