Strong "up" instinct at dusk!

So my HeiHei seems to have a very intense urge to go up at roosting time, and apparently the one inside the coop is not nearly high enough:

Two nights in a row we found her on our roof when it was time to go in for the night!! Last night we left her there, and found her this morning in the same place, all settled down and quite pleased with herself. Hubby got her back to the yard with her sisters, and we are pretty sure we figured out how she was getting up there and have attempted to foil her. Tonight will tell!

Hope she's in the coop tonight. Birds roosting outside are endangered.

She's in. I had no intention of just letting that continue, but climbing the roof (for us) repeatedly was not an option either!!

Chickens have a natural instinct to roost high. To them, higher means safer.

Is there plenty of room in coop?
Crowding is usually the first reason for this to happen.
