Struggling to hatch last of eggs

I just remembered I read that this happened to someone a couple years ago and what they did was put the hen back on her neat with the chicks, and then build a barricade around the nest, or cover the open part, and leave her no room but to sit, and then once they saw she was sitting the put the eggs under the hen. I don't remember the results but I don't see why it wouldn't work
