Struggling with my current duck hatch

This little one has been like this since about 10:15 am should I go ahead and pop the cap off or leave it be?

Totally up to you, you know the drill and what to look for. If it is still active peeping and working at it I'd probably just leave it be.
Since you had a lot of trouble with these eggs though, it may not hurt anything to pop it off before too much longer. But I wouldn't rush it too much.
I've had them take a very long time to finish zipping.

A couple of things I will mention to you since I see you're using the nurture right.
When I have had the bigger eggs in there before I have noticed they don't always turn too well in that Turner. I have learned to always mark them so I can tell if I have one that's getting stuck and not rolling. And then I can reposition it to get it going again.
Also if I don't mark them on those larger eggs sometimes like if I get in there to candle I have a bad habit of putting them back wrong because it's harder to tell the air cell end of the egg on those larger eggs. Both of those things can cause malpositions.
Also...
Personally I would not incubate eggs that were that dirty.

Thanks, I always appreciate your advice.

Ok yep I was getting worried because it wasn’t as active as this morning. It’s still peeping and wiggling occasionally so I’ve left it be for now. I’m thinking it’s just resting.

Yes I’ll just keep and eye on it. My others usually don’t take too long. But I did have one before that took quite a while.

I did have a check mark drawn on the eggs to check that they were turning and whenever I looked, it was usually on the opposite side so I don’t know. I did have to relocate the eggs and bator once so I’m wondering if the turning schedule got messed up when I plugged it back in. That was about a week or 2 ago. 🤔

I’ve never really had issues with dirty eggs but these were pretty dirty so I did wipe them down before putting them in.

When you mean pop the cap off are you talking about removing part of the shell?

Congrats on your first adorable little thing. ❤️
Yes I was talking about removing the shell over the air cell along its zip line. It has made a bit of progress but not much. It’s still yawning though so I’ve left it be.

The second baby made its debut about 20 minutes ago! ❤️🥰
