Struggling with my current duck hatch

It’s still not wanting to eat. I put it in with the others and they encouraged it a bit but it only took a teeny bite and a few sips of water.

I would not worry about it not eating until tomorrow.
Sometimes they just don't eat for the first 24 hours.

I know they can go a while but I try to get the weaker ones to start eating early. I’ve found that when I don’t, they keep refusing and never do. Maybe that’s just my experience though.

Anyways great news, I put the little one in with its siblings and it ate a little bit and drank some. It’s back in the incubator as of now because it can’t quite keep up with them yet. It’s a bit more energetic!

Well he looks a lot better this morning, I put him in with his siblings and he is now eating, drinking, and pooping. Still only using one leg but getting around better! What a sweet little baby! Pictures to come!

That's for sure! I hatched 4 runners this past summer and sold them at about a week old. They were adorable

I had to leave for work so I’ll get some pictures when I get home. It’s little leg looks normal, but it doesn’t move it. The little one ate a bit more before I left.
