I have a chick that has been in its egg longer than it should have been and the membrane is turning brown it is fully zipped and keeps on chirping but not moving, still breathing though. It pipped late yesterday and zipped 12 hours ago at midday. During the night of day 21 the humidity levels dropped to 45. This caused us some concern in case we have shrink wrapped our eggs. Also we had to do a rescue this morning as one chick fell off the side of the rack into the water channel. Is it now time to assist? Our small incubator is full of pipped eggs at the moment and it has just ticked over to day 22. Humidity levels are now perfect and we have lowered the temp to 37. We don't want to lose this little chick if we can easily whip it into a steamed up bathroom and help it help.

If it's fully zipped then yes, it's stuck and can't get out and you need to help it.
