Stubborn Chicken

My husband and I have been debating how to handle one of our chickens. It doesn't want to leave the nest. Sometimes it's sitting on eggs, other times just the wood chips in the nest. If you go to move it, it really tries to peck you.

Any thoughts/suggestions?

Sounds like it has gone broody and wants to sit and hatch some eggs. I just had 1 do this and I finally gave in and let her hatch a few, didn't end good (she killed the babies for some reason) but she is no longer broody. Maybe do a search for how to break a broody hen if you have no fertile eggs or don't want to oreder some for her to hatch.
