I’ve always had to disguise meds and such apples and molasses’s has always worked best for me...with the sand clear it worked well ..I also switched to the senior ...have you read up on preventing sand as well? I’m sure your vet probably gave you some info as well..few easy tricks helped me a lot keeping hay off of the floor putting a mat under to catch what does fall and keeping it swept of debris..offering plenty of water etc..I had a horse years ago and at first I had no clue what was wrong she ended up needing surgery..hope the alternative methods work for your horse!! And thanks for rescuing!! I miss having horses dearly ..just got ducks five weeks ago and adding chickens soon..can’t wait until I can have a couple horses again someday..
Enjoy your ducks and chickens! They are wonderful pets to have. If you do get horse, stick with ONE! And get a really, good, well behaved, broke horse. We have too many and are trying to rehome them right now, most of them rescues. They are very attached to their "herd" and absolutely freak out when we have to separate them. Too much horse drama for us.
