Hi I’m not sure but we just had a chick hatch about 10 this morning. Doing great. I have another one that seems to be stuck inside the soft lining of the egg. We peeled some of the hard shell away due to some came of about 2 days ago and was drying out.Have it loosely wrapped in a warm paper towel. A lot of movement all day and now it is chirping really loud on and off. Is this a problem or should I let it go

So it began hatching two days ago? And I'm sorry for not reading this clearly (it looks like there is a typo) but why did you remove some of the shell?

It sounds like it is shrinkwrapped. Do you see much veining in the membrane? Is the beak exposed? If it is, is it opening and closing its mouth, or just cheeping?

If there are no visible veins, and it is not opening and closing its mouth, you may try peeling a bit of the membrane back from the head. Stop if there are any signs of bleeding. Try to allow the chick to still get out on its own as much as possible, in order to get its muscles ready. But if the membrane is shrinkwrapped, it will need some assistance.

Thank you for responding. It looks like some of my post got cut of. Well the chick hatched mostly on its own. I helped a little. There was no blood or any veins. Was definitely ready to hatch. No he or she is chirping away. I hope this is normal. I have raised many chicks but we never hatched them. I don’t like to do to much when it come to this but it’s was chirping very loud and would not stop before it finally hatched. Thank you again fingers crossed that the other 10 hatch 🐣
