Stuck egg or? (duck)

Both my ducks are female, the other is a chocolate Indian runner. She is a year older than This duck, laying fine. This morning her poop looks normal, she does not seem weak, holds head up, eating and drinking. Just not herself, tail very much curved down, in the bathtub with water she looks the most comfortable, she will stand, do ok if she doesn't try to move, but no walking yet this morning, though she was waddling last night in a weird way. This morning when she tried she ends up with both wings out like she can't keep her balance and then just lays down. She's soaking now, but I'll try to get a video in a while when we drain the water.

Duck with tail tucked down is absolutely a sign of something very wrong... no healthy, fine duck will tuck it's tail down and keep it like that... waddling excessively when they normally don't is abdominal issue, usually associated with a stuck egg... like Kathy said, it could be a shell-less egg or up to high to feel...

Try getting some more calcium and vitamin B into her.

X2

I would get the calcium citrate or calcium gluconate asap into her, warm soaks and see if she passes one...

Does anyone want to read a bunch of posts about a peahen that went through something similar?

Please share it... while some things might not be as severe situation as the pea, it is a good lesson on what can happen if warning signs are glossed over as not a big deal...

@casportpony is my go to for severe issues, especially abdominal and possible eggbound issues...

In this case it was a peahen that was partially paralyzed, and the series of posts show how doing something like giving calcium and fluids can really help. The story does have a very happy ending.

Great! Good to see that simple support and some supplemental care can do wonders... all I know is, I am ok with simple stuff, but for complications, research and help with severe issues, you're the one I trust the most for that stuff... :)

Thanks for your support and trust... My expense (several hundred at the vet) can be everyone's gain. ;)

Id love to read about the peahen, is this posted somewhere?
I updated a pic of Bob Ross the duck with her tail down.. She is not trying to walk at all today, but weight bearing and standing in water. If I put a hand under a foot she will stay upright and standing on the other leg. Not eating a lot, but also completely inactive. I've given her a long soak in warm baths about 5 times today, giving her time to stretch her legs since she won't try with no water in the tub.
