Stuck egg or? (duck)

After reading a thread about poop and troubling symptoms tonight ... What she drank earlier was coming back up and it smelled like sweet soured milk, or like newborn breast Fed baby poop.. (sorry, that's the closest I can get to describing it).. A weird sweet smell.. Her poop was watery and dark like dirt with white in it and looks like the picture of stool with a bird that had colosridium infection. Im leaning towards blockage that caused an infection? I have several antibiotics on hand.. I have a little but of olive oil, but unsure how much and how often to give and massage, and how much and of what type of antibiotic to use?

What antibiotics do you have?

I have macrobid, septra, and a little bit of amoxicillin.
Should I be tube feeding if she had a possible obstruction?
Should I give her castor oil, mineral oil or olive oil with massage, how much and how often?

Check her crop for an obstruction. Duck crop looks like the one on the left.

If you can feel an obvious obstruction I doubt there is an obstruction in her crop, which means there is no need to massage. Massage is only needed when you can feel a mass of food.

I read your entire thread.
What have you been feeding her before she got sick ?

I raised quite a few ducklings this past summer. Well I guess I should have
kept a better eye on the hubby. He was feeding them layer crumbles
when he would notice them out of feed. The one male duck got curled up feet
and was crawling a lot. I did some reading and came to conclusion that
the feed had to much calcium in it for a young growing duck. I did the grain
feeding after that. Took about a week before I knew he was going to make it.
He matured quite well with no problems. I ended up getting him into a home as
a companion duck. He was half mucovy, half khaki Campbell.

I do not feel an obvious mass.. Just felt boggy and full last night, she "vomited" most of that up last night while I was feeling around after she started "vomiting" when she tipped forward. It felt pretty normal this morning.

So many things can cause the symptoms you are seeing, so it's really hard to suggest treatment other than supportive care. Yes, tubing is contraindicated if there is an obstruction, but there's not much you can do if it is an obstruction between the crop and her vent. You first noticed this a week ago? If it were a stuck egg I would expect that with calcium she would have passed it by now.

What calcium and vitamins have you been giving her?

She is 7 months old, free range with a mix of cracked corn and mealworms thrown out in the morning. Its just starting to cool off where we are, plenty of things for them to eat yet. I got layer crumbles that I've added electrolyte and vitamins in water to. They do bed down in Timothy hay, but I've never seen them eating it, we keep our property short and green. I did sprinkle out diatomaceous earth under the hay.. Not a lot, but that's the only new thing..

I'm at work now, but it is calcium for ducks and chickens from coastal, it might have been oyster shell (or provital.. I can't recall).. That was the only option at that store, an electrolyte packet with vit b and d I believe.. Whatever was recommended in earlier suggestions..

So you didn't get what I suggest which was calcium gluconate for cattle or human calcium citrate?
