Stuck egg?

My chicken has been sitting in her nesting area for 3 days. She is alert and doesn't appear sick. She has no egg under her. How do I check for a possible stuck egg?

Wash your hand, lubricate a finger, and insert it into her vent to see if you can feel a stuck egg.
It doesn't sound like she is egg bound, it sounds like she is broody.
