stuck egg

I have only 1 hen that lays brown eggs, and yesterday there were 2 brown eggs 1 very large and 1 med size. The very large one had an extremely soft shell and was not the normal dark color, it resembled a very small rotten pumpkin. The second egg was also different shade of brown and not as hard a shell as usual. Could one of the eggs been stuck since she didn't lay the day before? She is new to laying so she doesn't do it every day. two in one day is especially strange.
