Our rooster started getting weak a couple of days ago and seemed to be stumbling a little. But today he has been stumbling a lot and for a little while today he couldn't stand. Would eating salamanders cause a rapid onset of weakness? Or some other item common in a city backyard. It seemed to come on quickly. Any ideas would be appreciated.

How old is the rooster? Has it been very hot where you live? Have you tried giving him fluids and some electrolytes or Poultry NutriDrench? Has he been eating, and what do his poops look like? Does he seem to have one leg weaker than the other, or using his wings to balance? Was he vaccinated for Mareks disease? Hopefully, you can figure this out to help him.

What exactly do you feed him?
How long ago are was the newest chicken to you brought home?

He is 11 weeks old. It has not been hot and he has been drinking well and eating well. We're not sure about his poops, we have not seen him poop today or yesterday.
