If you want to get him tested to see what was wrong, you could get a necropsy by the state vet. Sorry for your loss.

Thanks you all for your help and sympathy. I pulled some of his gorgeous feathers out after to keep. My daughter stuck them in a ziploc

Thank you. I put him down. He was just suffering too much. My 10 year old even said he has no quality of life.
