Stunned growth ?

I agree that I would stop the electrolytes and egg, and concentrate of getting it to eat chick starter as it’s main diet. Electrolytes can cause diarrhea if used more than 5 days, and are not necessary. Plain water is best. Egg is fine in small amounts as a treat later, but not required. I worry that your chick might have possible coccidiosis, so it would be good to get some droppings checked with a fecal float by your vet. Corid in the water is the treatment for coccidiosis.

Mixing new chicks in with it, could be a set up for coccidiosis, so you can go ahead and treat for it, just in case. Dosage is 2 tsp of the liquid Corid, or 1.5 tsp of the powder for each gallon of water for 5-7 days. Do you know for sure that your earlier deaths were due to brooder pneumonia (aspergillosis) or respiratory disease? What were the symptoms? Hopefully this chick doesn’t have some as well.

The symptoms came on very suddenly the ones that passed went from being totally normal to gasping for air for several hours and then would have a seizures and die. The symptoms seemed to be brooder pneumonia I should of had a necropsy done.

I’ve been watching for bloody or loose stool and haven’t seen any. I haven’t had any pasty bum either. I have had them on medicated chick starter since I got them. Should I still try the corrid?

Medicated feed is just meant to help them build a natural immunity; it is not fail proof. Many chicks get coccidiosis even though they are on medicated feed. Corid is something every chick owner should have on hand; even if your chicks don’t have it it will not hurt them. It will be important to make sure that the Corid water is their only source of drinking water and it should not have anything else mixed in with it. And bloody stools are not always present in every case of coccidiosis.

Ok thank you I will try the suggestions.
