I recently dealt with coccidiosis in the brooder. Everyone got Corid water for 5 days, and some for 7 because they still had bloody stools. I lost a few chicks, but managed to save the rest.
Now I have a few stunted chicks. They have access to water with poultry nutri-drench, and medicated chick feed. One of my RIR chicks is literally HALF the size of her sister. I've started weighing them daily, and the RIR stunt is not gaining weight, but she is very active and I see her eating and drinking.
Will they ever catch up? Will she grow to at least just a small size RIR? I'm afraid she may stay chick sized forever.
The chicks were two weeks old at the time of the coccidiosis outbreak, and are now four weeks old.
Also, will there be negative effects on their future laying?
